Traffic Stop leads to two warrant arrests and seizure of suspected methamphetamine

On Thursday, April 21, 2016, at approximately 2:30pm, a Nolan County deputy stopped a black Saturn SUV, in the 400 block of Walnut, Sweetwater for a minor traffic infraction. Contact was then made with the driver, of Sweetwater who was accompanied by Raimee Brown and Taylor Morgan, both of Sweetwater. A roadside investigation was conducted where Nolan County Constable Stephen Smith II was present to assist. During the investigation, Ms. Brown and Ms. Morgan were both found to have outstanding felony warrants and were arrested. During the arrest, Constable Smith discovered Ms. Brown to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine. Ms. Brown and Ms. Morgan were both placed under arrest and transported to the Nolan County jail where they were processed on the outstanding warrants. Ms. Brown was charged with an additional felony offense of possession of methamphetamine. This case will be filed with the 32nd Judicial District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
