Courthouse Security

The primary objective of the Nolan County Sheriff's Office, Courthouse Security, is to ensure the safety and security of the Nolan County Courthouse and everyone who enters its premises. The Sheriff's Deputies designated to the Courthouse Security Division are fully commissioned Texas Peace Officers, tasked with providing armed protection throughout the courthouse and its adjacent areas. A critical aspect of their role involves safeguarding the safety and integrity of all judicial proceedings, ensuring that the judiciary and all individuals involved are shielded from potential threats while upholding the necessary decorum within the court environment.

In fulfilling their responsibilities, these deputies play a vital role in maintaining a secure atmosphere that allows for the smooth operation of the judicial system. Their presence not only deters potential disruptions but also fosters a sense of safety for court personnel, litigants, and visitors alike. By actively monitoring the courthouse and surrounding grounds, they contribute to a stable environment where justice can be administered fairly and without interference, thereby reinforcing public confidence in the legal process.
