Communications
The Nolan County Sheriff’s Office Communications Division plays a critical role in maintaining public safety and ensuring effective communication between citizens and law enforcement. Staffed by a dedicated team of 6 TCOLE licensed Telecommunicators, the Division operates around the clock, every day of the week, exemplifying a commitment to service and readiness.

A primary responsibility of the Division is to efficiently process both emergency and non-emergency calls. With each Emergency call they must determine the type of incident, define the location, decide the appropriate response, and disperse necessary resources for rapid resolution. Telecommunicators must also receive and process a variety of legal documentation insuring accurate and concise data is entered into the appropriate databases, utilized by Law Enforcement Agencies nationwide.
