If you noticed an increased presence of law enforcement personnel yesterday, rest assured there was no cause for concern unless you have outstanding warrants or are engaged in illegal activity.
On Friday, April 10, 2026 the Nolan County Sheriff Office Criminal Investigations Division led a coordinated enforcement effort known as the “Where’s Waldo” operation, working in partnership with multiple agencies, including the United States Department of Homeland Security, the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Sweetwater Police Department, the Roscoe Police Department, and the 32nd Judicial District Attorney’s Office.
The operation is part of an ongoing initiative to combat violent crime and illegal drug activity throughout Nolan County. It focused on locating individuals known to be in the community who had active felony warrants for offenses related to the possession of illegal narcotics, assault, engaging in organized crime and other felonies.
As a result of the operation, several individuals were located and taken into custody on outstanding warrants. Those arrested include:
Ivan Gongoria - Robbery
Tammy Williams - Possession of Controlled Substance
Kyler Toland - Possession of Controlled Substance
Efrem Deleon - Engaging in Organized Crime
Victoria Gonzalez - Evading Arrest Detention
Carl Smart - Possession of Controlled Substance X2
Matthew Blum - Hinder Apprehension or Prosecution of Known Felon
Mason Royal - Possession of Controlled Substance
Gary Meador - Possession of Controlled Substance in Drug Free Zone
Willie Norman - Possession of Controlled Substance, Assault with Previous Convictions, and Evading Arrest Detention
Shane Pardue - Possession of Controlled Substance.
Sheriff Villanueva praised the collaborative effort, stating, “Operations like this demonstrate our commitment to reducing crime and keeping our community safe. I’m proud of my team and grateful to everyone who helped make this operation a success. Strong partnerships between agencies make all the difference, and we look forward to continuing these efforts to keep Nolan County safe.”
