As National Correctional Officers Week comes to an end, it's a time to reflect on the hard work and dedication of those who work in the criminal justice system. This week, May 4-10, 2025, has been dedicated to recognizing the often-unseen efforts of correctional officers, including those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

In a heartfelt gesture of appreciation, Jail Administrator Marsha Harris took the time today to express her gratitude towards the dedicated staff of correctional officers assigned to the jail. During a small gathering, she presented each of them with a beautifully crafted cup, personalized with their name on one side and the esteemed correctional officers flag on the other.

This thoughtful token not only serves as a reminder of their unwavering commitment and service but also symbolizes the camaraderie that exists within our agency. In acknowledging their hard work, Administrator Harris emphasized the vital role each of them plays in maintaining safety and order, promoting a sense of pride among the team.
