Coordinating efforts key to fugitive apprehension

On Monday, November 30, 2015, Nolan County deputy Chad Mitchell in collaboration with Sergeant Jason Haak of the Abilene Police Department and the Fraud Unit apprehended a felon who has been hiding to avoid detection by law enforcement. Earlier today, Deputy Mitchell along with Sergeant Haak and the fraud unit made entry into a residence located in the 2200 block of Amarillo Street, Abilene. Once inside, the team was able to locate Tucker Dan Tomlin, a Sweetwater man wanted by the Nolan County Sheriff’s Office for Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, Escape from Custody, Resist Arrest/Search Transport and Theft of Property, a combination of felony and misdemeanor offenses. Tomlin was placed under arrest and transported to the Taylor County jail where he was booked in on the outstanding warrants.
