Traffic Stop leads to arrest and seizure of suspected marijuana

On Monday, September 19, 2016, a Nolan County deputy stopped a black sedan in the 1400 block of Wardale for a minor traffic infraction. Contact was made with the driver, Raquel Juelice Sharrock, of Sweetwater who was accompanied by a passenger, also of Sweetwater. During a roadside investigation, the deputy detected indicators of criminal activity, which later led to the discovery of several packages of suspected marijuana. Ms. Sharrock was arrested and transported to the Nolan County jail where she was charged with the misdemeanor offense of possession of marijuana. This case will be filed with the County Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
