Sheriff James Villanueva swears in new Deputy

Sheriff James Villanueva swore in a new Deputy Sheriff on Monday, January 6, 2025. Thomas Callison took the oath of office and received his Deputy Sheriff badge in the presence of his co-workers, wife and children, to commemorate this special occasion.

Thomas brings with him over 6 years of knowledge and experience in law enforcement, having previously worked at the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office where he was a patrol deputy, field training officer and led as an acting Sergeant. His expertise and vast knowledge in the law and leadership skills will be invaluable to our agency and community.

His first assignment with the Nolan County Sheriff’s Office will be with the Patrol Division.
