Over the past two weeks, several position changes and promotions have taken place within the Nolan County Sheriff’s Office. These changes reflect the office’s commitment to recognizing hard work and leadership.
Jeffery Reed has been promoted to the rank of Sergeant in the Criminal Investigations Division. Reed previously served as a Criminal Investigator, and his dedication, experience, and leadership make him an excellent fit to oversee investigative work and support his team in solving complex cases.

Jerry “JC” Watts has been promoted to the rank of Corporal in the Jail Division. Throughout his tenure as a floor jailer, Watts has demonstrated strong supervisory skills and a commitment to maintaining safety and order within the facility.

In addition, Thomas Callison has been reassigned from the Patrol Division to the Criminal Investigations Division, where he will take on the role of Criminal Investigator. Callison’s background in patrol and keen attention to detail will serve him well as he transitions into this investigative position.

Each of these individuals has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, professionalism, and commitment to excellence. Sheriff James E. Villanueva expressed confidence in their abilities, stating, “I have no doubt that Sergeant Reed, Corporal Watts, and Investigator Callison will excel in their new roles and continue serving the citizens of Nolan County with integrity and dedication.”
