The Nolan County Jail has successfully completed a limited compliance review conducted by the Texas Commission on Jail Standards, with no deficiencies identified.
During the review, multiple operational areas were thoroughly examined, including inspection certifications, equipment maintenance records, and training documentation covering facility safety, medical services, inmate management, and staffing and administrative procedures.
This comprehensive evaluation was conducted to ensure continued compliance with state standards and to confirm that all operations are aligned with established regulatory requirements for the safe, secure, and effective management of the facility.
Sheriff Villanueva stated, “To say that I’m proud of our jail leadership and staff hardly captures it. Our supervision team and detention officers consistently go above and beyond in their duties, demonstrating professionalism, accountability, and commitment at every level. Their dedication is something the entire community can take pride in, as it directly reflects the high standards and integrity of the Nolan County Jail.”
