The Nolan County Sheriff’s Office thanks the Nolan County Renewal Project (NCRP), a local nonprofit based in Sweetwater, for their generous donation of $10,000 each to the Nolan County Sheriff’s Office and the Sweetwater Police Department. These funds will help offset costs associated with transporting people experiencing mental health crises to appropriate treatment facilities.

During today’s City of Sweetwater Council meeting, Stacy Boil, President of the NCRP who also serves as a City Commissioner for Sweetwater, presented Sheriff James Villanueva and Chief of Police Cory Stroman with checks on behalf of the organization.

Thank you to everyone who has donated to the Nolan County Renewal Project and to the organization’s board of directors for making these important gifts possible. Mental health is a major issue in our community and across the country, and local law enforcement spends significant time assisting people in crisis. This support helps ensure those individuals get to the care they need.

Please join us in thanking the Nolan County Renewal Project and Stacy Boil for their leadership and generosity.
