In recent months, our correctional officers have engaged in comprehensive training across several critical domains, including CPR, the proficient use of Automated External Defibrillators (AED), suicide prevention strategies, stop the bleed techniques, and mental health awareness. Additionally, they have participated in refresher courses covering restraint chair procedures, defensive tactics, and handcuffing techniques.

This robust training regimen is essential not only for the safety of the incarcerated individuals but also for the overall protection and well-being of our community. Sheriff Villanueva is committed to enhancing these training initiatives, intending to extend them to telecommunicators, deputies and civilian staff as well.

By promoting an environment of preparedness, we are committed to keeping our personnel well-trained and equipped, thereby reinforcing our mission to uphold the highest standards of security and care within our facility and our community.
