Aircraft Crash at Sweetwater Municipal Airport

This afternoon, deputies, alongside officers from the Sweetwater Police Department and fire and rescue personnel, responded to a report concerning an aircraft that had crashed at the Sweetwater Municipal Airport.

At the scene, the occupants of the Piper Pacer, a four-seat single-engine plane, were found to be unharmed. The cause of the crash remains unknown, and both the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are currently conducting an investigation.
