Hit and Run (Sweetwater)

On Monday, January 14, 2013, at approximately 8:55PM, the Nolan County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a hit and run that took place at the intersection of Highway 70 and Santa Fe Depot Road, Sweetwater, Texas. It was reported that a red truck, possibly a Ford step-side struck a vehicle causing substantial damage to the passenger side rear. Thereafter, the driver of the red truck fled the scene traveling north toward Fisher County leaving behind pieces of its driver side front end as well as a tire skid mark, evidence that the driver accelerated to leave the area rapidly. Damages are estimated at approximately $1,500.00. The Nolan County Sheriff’s Office and Crime Stoppers is asking for your assistance to help locate the person(s) responsible for this crime.
