
Chief Deputy Brock Carter
Chief Deputy Brock Carter's law enforcement career spans over three decades, marked by significant roles and accomplishments. After graduating from the West Central Texas Council of Governments Law Enforcement Academy in 1991, he began his journey with the Jones County Sheriff’s Office. His skills and dedication soon led him to the Nolan County Sheriff’s Office in 1999, where he initially served as a County Jailer before advancing to Assistant Jail Administrator.
Demonstrating exceptional leadership, Carter transitioned to Patrol and rose to the rank of Sergeant. In 2015, he took on the role of Police Chief at the Texas State Technical College Police Department. His journey came full circle in May 2024 when he rejoined the Nolan County Sheriff’s Office as a Criminal Investigator, subsequently earning the promotion to Chief Deputy on January 1, 2025.
With the highest level of certification from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement and a Master level certification as a Peace Officer, Chief Deputy Brock Carter’s extensive supervisory and administrative experience is poised to greatly benefit his current position.
