The Nolan County Sheriff's Office is dedicated to protecting the lives and property of every individual in the county, while upholding the rights and freedoms enshrined in the Constitution of the United States of America and the Great State of Texas. With the utmost integrity, this office is committed to fairly enforcing all applicable local and state laws, promoting safety for all citizens and fostering trust and collaboration with the community by providing the highest level of professional and ethical law enforcement and detention services.

The Law Enforcement Section, in addition to the patrol of 1,000 linear miles of improved county roads, lakes, residences and businesses, it provides emergency response, traffic enforcement, drug interdiction, courthouse security, civil process service, criminal investigations and warrant executions. 

The section also transports inmates to and from the court system or facilities operated by the state or other counties; and routinely handle juvenile and mental health transports to and from various facilities throughout the state and region. During a critical situation in the jail, the section also provides additional manpower or security.
